Stephen DiBartolomeo

Principal

As Principal of Roo Capital, Stephen is responsible for sourcing and leading diligence on early-stage investment opportunities. He enjoys working with companies focused on security, data and computation, and applied AI.

Stephen is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy where he studied Quantitative Economics. Out of Annapolis, Stephen earned an MS in Finance from Johns Hopkins University. He served in the Navy as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer at the National Security Agency.

After the Navy, he cofounded and led a security company in the microelectronics space. Stephen then worked as a Principal at Scout Ventures where he led the firm’s dual-use investment strategy across deep-tech. He is based out of Roo’s Miami office.
